Animals

It’s not a show without animals and there are plenty to be seen, judged, patted and even ridden at the Waroona Show.

At the North end of the grounds when you enter from Millar Street or the Southwestern Highway, you will find Farmer Damian and his milking cow.  From there heading east there are Stud & Trade Cattle including some really cute calves, sheep and other various animal displays in the Farm Shed.  The sheep dog displays will be near the Farm Shed in the morning or roving around the grounds and then they will move to the stud cattle section after lunch.  On the oval starting at 8 in the morning, the horse events will be in action including the carriage events.  For the little ones there are also pony rides. Don’t forget to drop by the stud cattle area to see Farmer Damian and his cute cow for an interactive milking demonstration to show the kids where milk really comes from and new this year will be the Highland Cattle display.

Unfortunately due to the due to the evolving H5 avian influenza situation across Australia, the Waroona Agricultural Society, in consultation with the Waroona Poultry Club and other advisory bodies, has made the precautionary decision to cancel the poultry competition for 2026. However the poultry club will be there at the pavilion to chat and answer any queries you may have.
