President's Message

A warm welcome to everyone and we trust you all enjoy the 81st Annual Waroona Show. This is my third term as President after a mandatory two year break and I consider it a privilege to once again head the Waroona Agricultural Society. I also express delight that Robyn McSweeney, MLC for the South West and a member of State Cabinet will officially open the 2011 show.

I would like to express a public thank you to the many dedicated volunteers who work together as one to present the show, some working continuously for eight months of the year. Those involved, from members of the executive and other committees, stewards, judges and the many volunteers working behind
the scenes, are to be commended for their commitment and application. The Show could not go on without them.

The "Bill Wylie Memorial Fireworks Spectacular" provides a fitting end to the Show for all patrons who attend on this special family day for the Waroona District. The success of the Show depends upon its patrons and I thank them for attending.

Waroona Show Day is truly a community event from which everyone benefits and is a showcase of what the district of Waroona has to offer as the "quiet achiever" of the Peel Region.

Finally a sincere thank you to all our sponsors who make it possible to present a wide variety of events on the third Saturday in October.

We trust you have a great day and I look forward to sharing another fantastic Waroona Show with you on Saturday 15th October 2011.
