prior to Show Day.
2.     Prize-winning exhibits from any previous Waroona Show are ineligible.

AGRICULTURAL ART AWARD

The aim of the Agricultural Art Award is to identify and
promote works of a RURAL NATURE of the highest
artistic merit by rural based artists.

Entry $1.00 1st Prize $6.00 2nd $3.00


The Royal Agricultural Society of WA (The RAS of WA) is hosting a
competition through ‘Affiliated Agricultural Society Art Awards’ and
approved Art Groups' competitions that are held throughout rural
Western Australia. From these Awards, entries are nominated and
submitted to the Perth Royal Show’s annual Agricultural Art Award
where First Prize for ‘Best Artwork Overall’ receives $1,800, the
Runner-up $600, and Public Choice $100. There is also an extra prize,
The J J Award for Commendation and Encouragement, of $200.

Artwork criteria: Entries must have a Rural Theme and can be in all
mediums of painting, including oil, watercolour and acrylic. All artworks
must not exceed 120cm x 120cm x 10cm depth including any attached
format of framing, nor exceed 15kg in overall weight.

Boundaries for Rural Artist Prize: The winning entry at the Waroona
2011 Show will compete in the 2012 Perth Royal Show. The NEW ruling
for the 2012 competition is the nominee must reside in the same
Shire as the Agricultural Society.
Approved Rural Art groups are also eligible to nominate.
